The Cognitive Abilities Test (CAT) 4 is used to measure cognitive development. It is a multiple-choice test that consists of four batteries:Verbal Reasoning Battery:
- Verbal Classification
- Verbal Analogies
Quantitative Reasoning Battery:
- Number Analogies
- Number Series
Nonverbal Reasoning Battery:
- Figure Classification
- Figure Matrices
Spatial Ability Battery:
- Figure Analysis
- Figure Recognition
On the official test, as well as on our practice tests, the topics mentioned above appear in the following order:
Part 1: Figure Classification and Figure Matrices questions.
Part 2: Verbal Classification, Verbal Analogies, and Number Analogies Questions.
Part 3: Number Series, Figure Analysis, and Figure Recognition Questions.
For our practice tests, we have allotted the same amount of time that you are granted for the official test.
What's included:
Our CAT 4 Basic Pack includes the following practice materials:
- A full-length practice test consisting of the CAT 4 Verbal Battery, the CAT 4 Non-verbal Battery, the CAT 4 Quantitative Battery, and the CAT 4 Spatial Ability Battery.
Note: It is important that your child approaches each of these practice tests as though it were the real test.
- Multiple topic-specific drills for extra practice in each subject.
- A study guide with examples and solving tips for all kinds of questions.
How to use this pack:
We recommend practicing for the CAT 4 in the following order:
- Start by reading the CAT 4 study guide carefully in order to understand the different question types.
- Take the full-length CAT 4 Practice Test.
- Complete the drills in order to better understand each type of question and gradually improve your problem-solving skills. Focus on subjects you had difficulty with on the first full-length practice test.
- After gaining enough confidence and understanding of the various types of questions, retake the full-length CAT 4 Practice Test.
